From alpine mountain towns to lakeside communities, Everwild is expanding its vision of nature-rooted wellness destinations across Western Canada. With three new Everwild Nordic Spa & Hotel properties underway in Fernie, Banff, and Harmony, guests will soon have more opportunities to slow down, reconnect, and experience the restorative power of nature.
This next phase of growth reflects Everwild’s long-term commitment to building immersive wellness programs—places where thoughtful design, natural landscapes, thermal spa rituals, and a Nordic-influenced culinary program come together to create experiences that feel grounded in their surroundings.
Each location is shaped by its environment, drawing inspiration from local landscapes, seasonal rhythms, and the traditions of Nordic thermal therapy. While every destination will offer something distinct, all share the same guiding philosophy: Feel Better, by Nature.
Here’s a closer look at what’s ahead.
Fernie: Mountain Wellness in the Heart of the Elk Valley
Set in one of British Columbia’s most authentic mountain towns, Everwild Fernie Nordic Spa & Hotel will bring the region’s first large-scale Nordic spa experience to the Elk Valley.
Surrounded by rugged peaks, rivers, and year-round adventure, our Fernie location is designed to complement the town’s laid-back, outdoors-first culture. The spa experience will blend indoor and outdoor thermal spa elements, expansive relaxation areas, and spaces designed for longer stays—making it just as appealing after a powder day as after a summer hike or bike ride.
With Fernie’s strong sense of community and four-season appeal, this project aims to create a wellness destination that feels deeply rooted in its setting. Inspired by the culture, landscape, and pace of life that define Fernie, the experience will draw from the rituals of mountain living—warming, cooling, gathering, and restoring. Guests will take in views of the Lizard Range and surrounding local peaks, enjoy food and beverage shaped by the region’s relaxed yet adventurous spirit, and move through spaces designed to feel connected to nature in every season. The result will be an approachable, restorative destination that reflects Fernie’s character in a genuine and lasting way.
Estimated Opening Date: Fall 2027

Banff: A Rooftop Nordic Experience in the Heart of Town
Everwild Banff will introduce something truly unique to the Canadian Rockies: a rooftop Nordic spa and hotel in the heart of downtown Banff.
Positioned above the town’s vibrant streets, this elevated setting will offer sweeping, unobstructed views of Mount Rundle, Cascade Mountain, Sulphur Mountain, and Tunnel Mountain—placing guests right at the intersection of culture, adventure, and wellness. Designed to feel grotto-like—natural, cave-inspired spaces shaped by stone and shadow—the spa experience unfolds as guests move through the mountain, transitioning between sheltered interiors and open-air rooftop pools with sweeping views of Banff National Park.
With shops, dining, trails, and iconic viewpoints just steps away, Everwild Banff is designed for guests who want to stay central—without sacrificing serenity.
Estimated Opening Date: Late 2027/Early 2028

Harmony: Lakeside Nordic Wellness in the Foothills
Just west of Calgary, Everwild Harmony Nordic Spa & Hotel will be set directly on the shores of Harmony Lake, creating a rare lakeside Nordic spa experience within the Alberta foothills, and only a short drive from the city.

Inspired by the region’s agricultural heritage and open landscapes, the architecture draws from farmhouse forms and prairie-rooted design, grounding the resort in its surroundings. The lakefront setting allows for a slower, more expansive experience, where water, sky, and land come together to shape the rhythm of each visit.
Harmony is envisioned as a true retreat destination: ideal for both day trips and extended stays, relaxed pacing, and year-round outdoor wellness shaped by the changing seasons.
Estimated Opening Date: Spring 2028

The Next Phase of Everwild
While each Everwild location is distinct, they’re united by a shared approach to wellness—one that prioritizes natural settings, thoughtful design, and experiences that encourage guests to slow down and reconnect with nature, place, and each other.
Whether it’s a mountain town escape in Fernie, a rooftop retreat in Banff, or a lakeside resort at Harmony, these upcoming projects reflect Everwild’s continued commitment to creating places where wellness feels intentional, accessible, and deeply connected to place.
Each destination is being developed as part of a broader platform strategy designed to scale the Everwild Nordic Spa & Hotel brand across North America’s most sought-after markets.
More details will be shared as each project progresses—but one thing is certain: the future of Nordic wellness in Western Canada is just getting started.
